Play Date

Abigail had her first play date today.  We met my long time friend Casey and her baby Lucy for lunch at Jason's Deli then they came back to my house to play for a bit.  The girls had fun and Casey and I had some time to catch up.  They were both wearing purple and so close in age that someone even asked if they were sisters.  (which is kinda funny since Casey and I used to get asked that all the time in middle school.)   Lucy has a lot more hair than Abigail....she was so adorable with her pig-tails!
I took a bunch of pictures of them playing but never did catch them smiling at the same time.
Abigail found Lucy's ear.
And Lucy liked to pat on Abigail.
This is what happens when Abigail gets on her tummy.
We are so happy to have our girls the same age....hopefully they will grow up to be life long friends like us!

My Birthday

I had a great birthday week!  It started last weekend....Andy and I got a babysitter both Saturday and Sunday nights.  Saturday my dad (Paw Paw) came over so we could go to dinner and to a friends "After the Holidays" party.  We went to Five for dinner....its my favorite place to get a drink!  They have THE BEST Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita and Andy likes their Strawberry Lemonaid too.  On Saturday my mom and dad come back over and we went to dinner and a movie.  This night we went to Sumo then to see Jack Reacher.  The last we had been on a date was before Christmas so it was much needed!  I am so blessed to have my parents so close and willing to help us out so much.
Wednesday was my actual birthday so Andy invited some of our friends to meet us out for dinner.  There were 5 adults and 5 kids so it was a little crazy I had a great time and felt really special that they came out to spend some time with me.  I also got to open my presents on Wednesday.  I got an awesome float from Samantha, Drew, Cooper and Caroline (Andy's sis and family).  I am so excited to use it at the lake this summer! For my birthday my Mother-in-law monogrammed my stockings.  They turned out so beautiful!  She also made me a couple of shoe bags and a notebook holder plus she monogrammed some jammies for Abigail.

Friday night my mom and dad had us over to their house to celebrate.  Both sets of my grandparents came and well as Reagan and Monica.  We had a great meal and Abigail entertained everyone.
Abigail getting kisses from Radar.  She loves Radar so much......she sat in the floor and giggled at him.  It was so cute.

Eat Eat Eat

Abigail LOVES to eat!!  She has always liked to eat but the past couple of weeks she has decided that she wants to do it all by herself.  She will still eat a little from a spoon but not like she used to now that she figured out how to feed herself.  So far we have tried:
 Bread
Roasted Okra
Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Sauteed Squash
Sauteed Zucchini
Steamed Apples with Cinnamon
Avocado
Blueberries
Steamed Carrots
Green Beans
Bananas
She loves them all!  Her pincer grasp is not perfect yet but she still manages to get even small things into her mouth.  The larger pieces she will hold in her fist and suck on them.  It's really a lot of fun for us and it makes mealtime easier since she is occupied.  Sometimes its a little scary but its amazing the things she can eat with only two teeth.  Her diet is still mainly breast milk....she still gets the same amount of milk, we just give her finger foods at lunch and dinner.

Abigail's dinner tonight....green beans, sweet potatoes, blueberries and apples.  This was a lot of food so she did not eat it all but she ate most of it.
 Blueberry
 Apple
 Happy Girl!
Okra
Trying to get Daddy's water bottle.

This past weekend Andy hung Abigail's swing.  It was nice enough this weekend to try it out.  As you can see Abigail had fun!

Miami

We had such a blast in Miami this past weekend.  I'm not gonna lie....I was a bit nervous about traveling with Abigail but I should not have been, she was great!  We went with 2 other couples, one of which has a baby boy just 15 days younger than Abigail.  The weather was great all except for Monday morning but even that day it cleared enough for Abigail and I to spend some time in the pool and for everyone to enjoy the big Bama win!  I took a ton of photos and had trouble narrowing down how many to post so there are a bunch this time.....
Lucas and Abigail playing at the airport.
Happy girl finally at the hotel.
The view from our room.
This is my favorite picture from the whole trip.  The lighting just happened to be perfect and of coarse its of my two favorite people.
Dinner at Dos Caminos.
Abigail loved riding around in the stroller and we are glad she did because our hotel was very spread out.  Here she is chilling on the pool deck.
Abigail loved the pool!  She would splash and kick the whole time.
Love how her feet are propped up!
We borrowed this float from Lucas.
Eating some fruit.  Her face looks a little unsure but she ate a lot of cantaloupe.
Hanging out with our sweet friend Angie.
On Sunday we rented this great cabana for the day.  It was so worth it...we always had plenty of room to sit together, we had shade for the babies, and it was a great place to eat and feed Abigail.  We had so much fun that we got to the pool at about 8am and did not go back to our room till after 6pm.
Eating green beans at dinner.
Game Day!!
Group pic before the bus left for the game.

This big guy came out to the pool to visit us.
