Family Beach Trip: Playing in the Pool

Abigail loves the water!  Her and Andy played in the pool and hot tub almost everyday.  Andy loves being in the water too so I took the opportunity to lay by the pool and read. : )

Family Beach Trip: Family Pictures

Abigail had so much fun playing with her cousins.  They were so sweet to her and found all kinds of toys for her to play with.  It was great spending the week with them and we are going to miss them!!  

While at the beach we celebrated Brennen's 7th Birthday.  To celebrate we had cupcakes.

Family Beach Trip: Beach

So, it is really hard to take a baby to the beach!  Well, it is for me anyway.  I don't particularly love the beach myself....I mean I love to be by it and look at it but would just rather stay out of the sand.  Having a sandy baby on the beach makes for a sandy mommy!  Yuck!  Abigail didn't really love it either but we took her to the beach twice this week.  The first time she fussed most of the time and did not want to play at all.  The second time we drove over to Sanibel for the day and it was beautiful.  Clear calm water and millions of shells.  Abigail played in the sand for awhile and she only got upset when we took shells away from her when she tried to eat them....which she did often.

Family Beach Trip: Water Park

Vacation week! Yeaaa!  A few months ago we decided to go on a family trip with Andy's family.....his mom and dad, one of his sisters and her husband and three kids.  After much deliberation it was decided we would go to Fort Myers and rent a large house by the beach for a week.  On Saturday, Andy and I flew down with Abigail to Tampa where we rode the rest of the way down with my brother in law.  The rest of the family drove down together.  

The local water park is only open on the weekends so we all went there on Sunday.  It was not a huge park but they had a great area for toddlers, nice pools, a lazy river and 4 or 5 large slides.  The water was a little cold but Abigail had a great time!  I have taken a ton of photos this week so I am breaking up my posts.  Here are some pictures of Abigail at the water park.

9 Months Old

Abigail turned 9 months old this week.  We had our 9 Month well visit with Dr. Dudgeon on Wednesday.  He said everything looked great.  Abigail is growing and developing right on target.  I was so excited to see how much she had grown over the last three months and wow had she grown.  She gained 3 lbs and grew 3 inches!!  She now weighs 17 lbs 11 oz and is 27 inches long.  We got a referral to see an Opthamologist for her runny eye and he said we could start to ween off of the Prilosec.  Yeaaaa!  Below is a picture of her trying to eat her band aid off ofter getting a finger prick.  You can tell she didn't stay upset long!

Abigail decided to celebrate her 9 month birthday by crawling!!  Here is the video of her very first crawl.
