Tummy Time, Play Mat & Talking

Tummy Time
Abigail does not really like tummy time.  Even though she looks so happy in the pictures below, she is usually happy for only a few minutes.  I feel bad because I know she needs tummy time to learn to roll over and crawl but I cant keep her there for very long.  I'm hoping that with time she will start liking it.
Play Mat
Abigail does like the play mat and she will lay there and kick like crazy.  She is so cute when she gets so excited like this.

"Talking"
Abigail started this week making more and more noises.  It looks and sounds like she is trying to have a conversation with you.  I love it....I don't think it will be long before she is laughing.

Wakeboarding & WakeSurfing

I am so lucky to have my sister in law at the lake house most weekends.  Not only do I enjoy hanging out with her and my niece Caroline while the boys play on the boat but she also helps out with Abigail and watches her for me so I can spend some time on the boat too.  One day soon I am going to attempt to surf.....I will let you know how that goes. Until then I will stick to the new Yolo Paddle Board.....its much more my speed.
If you were wondering what Andy loves to do on the weekends...here it is!!

Abigail's first night in her own room!

Last night Abigail slept in her own room for the first time.  It was a much better night than I expected.  The last few weeks our schedule has been that she eats last around 10pm which means I do not get to bed till really late.  Its been ok so far since I'm not working but this is my last week off work : ( so we have to get on a better schedule.  Since I wanted to put her down in a new room and in a new bed I didn't want to change her schedule too, so I was planning on feeding her one last time at 10:30 before putting her to bed.  When 10:30 rolled around she was still sleeping so good that I decided to just let her sleep till she woke up.....I put her down in her crib and hung around in her room for a bit expecting her to wake up any minute.  It seemed realy quiet in her room so while I waited on her to wake up I got out her humidifer (thank you Christie and Freddy).  I got it all hooked up and running but unlike ours its super quiet.  Abigail didnt seem to mind (I guess its just me that likes some white noise to sleep with). She ended up sleeping until 4am!! Considering that she ate dinner at 8 and went to sleep at 9:30 I was very happy with 4am.  Andy slept great and didnt even hear her on the monitor when she woke up. However, I didn't sleep great.....I was a little nervous about her being so far away (the nursery is upstairs).  I actually slept with the video monitor in the bed with me and checked it often.  After I fed her at 4 she went right back to sleep and slept till 7:30.  It was an awesome night......hope it continues to be that easy.

Swaddled in her crib.
We finally hung some new pictures in her nursery.
Thank you Amy & Clay for the beautiful frame with the green bow.
Thank you Nell for this beautiful window frame, it looks so good in her room.
This cute caterpiller was a gift from my friend Casey.  I need to get my mom to fill in the circles for me.....her hand writing is much better.
And this beautiful frame was a gift from my good friend Angie.  I love it!

Weekend in Atlanta

This past weekend Andy took a CrossFit Level 1 Certification class in Atlanta so I decided to tag along.  Since Andy was in class all day Sat and Sunday we invited my mom to come and keep me company as well as help with Abigail.  We went over Friday morning so we could all go to the Georgia Aquarium together.  It was awesome!  The best aquarium I have been to.  The best part is the large ocean tank.  It has huge whale sharks and manta rays.
While Andy was in class, mom and I went to the Coke museum and to Atlantic Station.  I didn't really enjoy the museum much but the Atlantic station is really nice....great shopping and a bunch of restaurants.  We also went to Ikea which is a must see!!  That place is crazy!
It was a great weekend even though its hard to travel with a newborn.  Abigail did ok as long as I kept her in my Ergo carrier while we were out.  The carrier is easy and comfortable but it does get tiresome. Hopefully she will soon begin to enjoy the car and her stroller.
Good news.....we found out today that Andy passed his certification exam!  Yeaaaa Andy!!

New Things

Andy got Abigail her new Bumbo Seat.
Abigail is Smiling a lot more these days.
 Activity Mat
Bella is watching over Abigail as she plays on her new mat.
My sister-in-law got a Yolo Board for the lake house.  The water was so calm and flat.....it was killing Andy that we were paddle boarding instead of wakeboarding.

Fun at the Lake

Andy and I spend almost every weekend at the lake.  We love it there and hope that Abigail grows up loving it too.  For the most part, Abigail stays at the house when at the lake but I do take her down to the dock for a short time.  She loves to sit on the boat in the shade and will usually be very happy there.  We have not yet ventured getting her in the water.....she is still so tiny and the water is very deep off our dock so it makes me nervous.  Also, I have not been able to find any sun shirts that will fit her so I try to keep her out of the sun as much as possible.
We got a new boat.  Andy is really excited about it.  Everyone has had a great time wake boarding, wake surfing, and of coarse tubing.  I hope to get some good pictures next time of Andy wake boarding....he is really good!

New boat
Abigail in her bathing suit and sunglasses that her Aunt Reagan gave her.
Look at that face!
Her sunglasses were way to big but still cute.
This weekend we got a float with a sunshade for Abigail.  She was happy for a few minutes the first day but the second day she did not like it.
